GAUGE DATA:Gauge (sc over 4 in = 10 cm): 16.0 sts by 16.0 rows.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS: 14 by 43 inches sc+ch 1:Worked on a multiple of 3 plus 2 sts. First row: sc, ch 1, skip one ch, rep from beg.Next row: ch 2, sc in each ch 1 space across with ch 1 in between sc's. End last stitch under ch 2 turning space to keep rows even.
MAIN PANEL:1. Chain 177 sts on size 4 hook. Start work in pattern. 2. Work even for 58 rows (14 ins). 3. Tie off.
FINISHING:1. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends.2. BLOCK. Really, it makes all the difference.3. Work a 3.5 ins fringe around the edges of the shawl.
