peach shell crocheted hat

Materials:
Peach Dazzleaire by Caron 60% acrylic, 40% nylon, or any other soft, worstened weight yarn
G hook

Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join, always mark beg of rounds.

In BLO for this & following increase rounds only, 2 dc in each sc around.

Rnd 3: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next dc, rep around.

Rnd 4: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc, rep around.

Rnd 5 & any other increase rnds you may need for size of hat desired: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc, working one more additional dc in between increases on each following round.

Last round: Invoke the “fudge” rule: work even or increase if needed to end up with a multiple of 7 stitches.

Next round: (working in both loops for this & rest of rounds): work 2 fpdc, skip 2 dc, work shell of 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, skip 2 dc, and repeat around as many times as needed.

Next & rest of desired number of rounds: work 2 fpdc in 2 fpdc in round before, in shell work a shell, repeat around.
On the last round, after the last shell, sl st into fpdc, end off. Weave in ends. Enjoy!
