gray felted hat crocheted

Once again, it's an Anastacia original hat!

Need:
4 ounces of a bulky wool yarn. I used yarn from a wool sweater that I recycled for the yarn.
J or K hook to produce a loose gauge of 2.4 dc to the inch

Ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd chain from hook. Mark beginning of round.

2 dc in each 2 sc.

Next round: 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc. Work around.

Next round: 1 dc in next two dc, 2 dc in next round. Work around.

Keep increasing in pattern until work measures approximately 8.5".

Work easy lace pattern:
round 1: dc, chain 1, skip next dc, and work around.
Round 2: work even.

Repeat the 2 rows for approximately 12.

Yes, this looks like a monster hat! End off, weave in ends.

Throw in the washer on hot. Mine went in for about 20 minutes, and was still a little large, but fits my hubby perfectly. He's since stolen it for his very own.
